This topic is all about the family, whether you love them, hate them, or are somewhere in the middle (which I'm guessing is where most of us are)

Let me start by telling you a little about my family and a few of the things that go on with us:

I have two sisters, and a mum and dad who are married and live together. I am the oldest of the three, ...

Even when I know that if I do it it'll be good for me, or if its something as simple as talking to somebody that I haven't met before or doing a piece of schoolwork that I know uses skills I'm not good at (eg. essays), I really cant seem to man up enough to do it. I just keep thinking of how it could all go wrong, and that I'll fail and screw it up.

I'm guilty of it myself, and I know it plagues an awful lot of people - body insecurities.

Everyone's probably looked in the mirror and seen something they don't like. What are your body insecurities? Have you got over them ? If so, how?

Or do you just have something weird you can do with your body that nobody else can?

Lets start with myself:

I have very weird toes. They don't bother me in the slightest, but iI look at them and wonder how something that strange came to be. ...

The media and the internet is going crazy over Britains got talent contestant, Susan Boyle. The 47 yr. old single and unemployed Scot hailing from Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland blew away a cynical and skeptical audience as well as a panel of judges. Being properly dubbed "the woman who shut up Simon Cowell" as she clearly gobsmacked him and everyone who heard her audition with her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" by Les Miserables as she sang, in one word, amazingly.

My family have owned a huge number of animals over the years, here's a brief summary:

My mum and dad got a horse from an auction when they first got married. The foal was wild from the New Forest and being sold for meat, but they got her instead. They called her Kestrel, or Kessie, and we still own her to this day, although she's a bit of an old lady now, at 25!

They also got two cats, Tasselhoff ...

This thread is for people to talk about something that makes them mad, or something they want more attention to be drawn to. I know there's other threads in the Red Room about various issues, but I thought we could have a specific ...

1. Copy the question from the post above you.

2. Take your Media Player (Or iPod/iTunes, or whatever you use) and set it to Shuffle.

3. Hit 'next' five times so you go through five different songs.

4. Whatever song is playing on the fifth press of the button, write down the title, followed by the artist...no matter how silly an answer it may be.

5. Make up a question of your own for the next person to answer.

Right so, I'm starting my freshman year of college next year, just for some background. I've had the same crush on the same girl for three long not-too-bad years, and who I've know for about 4 years. She's one year older than me and even now I still feel as helplessly infatuated as I ever have in my life. She went to community college in town for the past year, so she's been around, though we haven't been able to talk much since she graduated. I still try to plan get togethers, but a lot of them ...

Rising Sign is a new astrological fantasy novel, with a main character who comes out partway through the novel. It truly is a great read (I'm not just saying that because the author is a good friend!!) and great for teens and adults alike.

Rising Sign has been entered into an online contest, the winner of which will be promoted via Barnes and Noble online. All my friend needs to win is to get the most votes! Could you please take a second to vote for his novel?

I am sitting here, completely naked, except for a towel wrapped around me. Its close to 4 am here in the old kingdom, and I mean the oldest kingdom, this isn’t some puny English monarchy, this is the oldest existing monarchy in the world.
