HALLOWEEN!

Post  Elmoslayer on Sat Oct 17, 2009 4:00 pm

Well, the time is drawing near..and halloween is drawing ever closer.

Here in England we don't really make much fuss over Halloween, but I know a lot of you in the states celebrate it properly.
So what are you going to dress up as? Are you making the costume or are you just going as yourself?
What will you be doing? I was never allowed to go trick-or-treating, but as a kid we had some pretty awesome parties. My mum made jelly frogs and dragons eggs, and we used to have to catch icing spiders hung from a thread with our mouths while we were blindfolded. Those were the days...

Theres a funfair in the city this year, and a halloween costume competition. I'm thinking of going as the corpse bride, any other suggestions?

MUAHAHAHA!!

I'm dressing up as a stereotypical green witch this year, I haven't been a witch since I was like 5... Getting all dolled up is a not-so-guilty pleasure of mine. I restrain myself at school time but I still manage to get known as one of the girls who has interesting clothes. This will be my first year not trick or treating. My best friend and I are going to host a daytime Halloween party in the traditional like fashion with campy horror movies, apple bobbing, and pumpkin carving, costume mandatory, and such. None of that get drunk in some themed slutfit stupid college kid stuff. I'm really excited for my witch costume because I'm planning on finding some face putty or a rubber nose at the very least to get that wicked hook nose going on.

Yeah, why do some people think halloween is an excuse to go out in their underwear? Just makes you look daft (and you get reallllyyy cold!)

My girlfriends going off to the gay bar after the funfair, I'm alone in the house so I might come back with a friend and watch a scary movie. Any good ones to recommend? I love gore, but I also like higher-class horror, no Bikini Bloodbath for me Laughing Or maybe iI should go trick-or-treating? I feel like I'm missing out.

I wish my family was home so I could have a party though...I'm such a kid.

I've never heard of Hanal Pixan, it's not something people seem to celebvrate over here. We've only just picked up the idea of Hallowe'en..

Well, I had a lot of fun, i took a picture of mty makeup and then my sister took some today of me in my dress, but she cant take a picture to save her life so theyre pretty blurry. Oh well!

The indended look:

The actual look:

I think I look better like this than with the beard!!

Anyway, I'm thinking of going as Edward Scissorhands for next year. MMMM Johnny Depp. Now theres a man that looks good in a beard!

Of course it's a good thing! It's Halloween! (well, it was)

I'm flattered that you find my handiwork so terrifying.
