Re: Breaking news

Since you seem to be interested I thought I would throw a few facts your way.

If you are called into the Army, as a "værnepligtig" (VP for short) you have to stay there for a minimum of 4 months.
The VP's can chose between 4 different sections of the army to work for.

The main army (wich is the usual soldier stuff, that can lead straight into a follow up 3 year school stay that will make you some sort of big time comander, if you want to go that way)
The fleet (You work with and on the water, you get a FREE speedboat license here, and VP's from the fleet are often offered a free diver lisence as well.)
The airforce (pretty basic army stuff really, but if you stay onboard after the 4 months are up you can become a pilot: yay)
And the emergency taskforce (I dont know what to call it, this is not an elite unit of soldiers these are guys trained in helping during fires and the like, you can get a free truck driver lisence here and you can become a firefighter straight after this without need of further studies)

But the best part I must admit I have saved for last: You get paid! During your time as a VP you get free acess to all public transportation and a paycheck that is not half bad, not good either but you can live from it.

Still I have no interest of going in there.

Flyhue - We have a draft but I don't think it'll ever be used again except for a really intense World War.

Yeah men in the U.S. (should? have to?) register with the government, ages 18-25, as a just in case, I believe.

I had this FUNNY DREAM today (yeah, my life is pretty dull) where I wrote this short story, and I was reading it over, and then giving it to my mother to look over, and I was thinking "I'm going to lose this story, it's not on my computer, even though I have this hard copy of it, I'm still going to lose it" and then I realised I really was going to lose the story, because it was a dream and I hadn't actually written it.

Such a sense of humour!

About the army- I wanted to join the army when I was younger, but couldn't for medical reasons. I think a part of me would still love to.

Hmm, my big news I suppose is that I recently "met" (online, so sort of met?) someone who's been through a lot of what I've been through. She's not as far as I am down the realignment path; but I remember not really having anyone to talk to. It's warm fuzzies that I can be there for someone who's pretty much going through similar dilemmers as I was about a year or so ago; and it feels like I'm really making a difference to someone.

...Also, I miss my DS.

I had a dream like that. I was reading this one paragraph and I was totally in awe. Everything about its writing was perfect and profound and I wanted to find more stuff written by the person. And then I woke up and realized it was a dream. Which meant that that awesome paragraph that I read was mine. And it was gone. Goddamnit. xD

More often I wake up and I'm like THANK GOD it was a dream, so. I suppose I can handle dreams that end up the opposite way.

Re: Breaking news

Post  greven on Mon Mar 09, 2009 3:18 pm

This is not news this is a rant.

So I spend all sunday cleaning up our house, it is freaking huge so it took all day.

^^ that is where I live

Why did I have to clean the house? Well because my sisters werent home and my mother would be holding some big fansy meeting for all the other bosses she knows from all around. This means that when I come home from school the intire ground floor is off limits so I dont disturb all the important people. Good thing I shouldnt stay there for long because I was suddently asked to drive my sister to her gymnastic training. The trip out there takes half an hour, and then I had to wait 2 hours out there because of the mad gas prices. Well as lucky as I am the internet was fucked out there, so I was stuck there for 2 hours with nothing to do. My sister is finally done with her gym stuff so we drive home, both of us starving and looking forward to the food we are promised is at home.

So we get home and all the fansy bosses are making fansy food, I am talking real delisius what the hell is that? kind of food. So mouths watering we are walking into the kitchen where my mom tells me that: we cant eat with then. So what awaits me and my sister: Cold leftovers and fucking dry bread.

I could fucking kill her right now.

No news sorry I am just fucking mad!

Because it was an important people dinner with important people all sitting around a table being important.

And it would seem thata 19 year old kid being anoyed at the dinner table didnt fit well in the image my mother was creating for herself.

No That's awful!

So last night, I was walking angrily down the hall to tell my sister off, and I slipped and fell on my elbow. Ow. The bone/joint thingy in my elbow was really weird, so my Mum took me to the hospital, but they don't keep an xray machine there overnight, so they stuck my arm in a sling and sent me home. So now I'm waiting for my Mum to wake up to drive me back to the hospital so hopefully they can fix my arm/

It's hard to type cause I'm naturally right handed trying to type with my left hand, and still sleepy from all the painkillers. Even with the painkillers, my arm is still killing me. Sad

You need to eat more painkillers, I have learned from playing max-pain that painkillers actually heals you. It helps him after he gets shot in the head, it can heal your arm better than any doctor. If all else fails get your hands on some green herbs, resident evil style.

why dont they have a xray thing at night? that really sucks. I hope its nothing serious.

PS i feel your pain, all this was written with my left hand only... takes a bitch to type shit.

Well, I'm back home. Smile And nothing's broken. It took this doctor (that was a dead ringer for Einstein) 20 xrays to figure out that I only tore a ligament. So I have to keep my arm in a sling for a week. Kinda puts a damper on my drawing/typing/guitar-playing, but I'm so thankful I didn't break anything. :3

@greven: Surprised That sounds like a great idea! Thanks for the advice!
(Seriously though, I think I'll stick to advil and icepacks. Razz)

Friend?

Post  Elmoslayer on Tue Mar 17, 2009 3:25 pm

I nearly forgot about this!

Last week both the girls I hang around with were in France (one on an exchange and one on a booze cruise), so I was sitting in the library on my lonesome, pretending to work...and suddenly this girl I had never spoken to before comes up to me and goes "HI".

So what did she wanna talk about? well, turns out she's gay too! Theres an actual other actual gay person in my actual school! Actually!

So maybe we can be friends, and my lonesome token gay days are over?

....Or maybe not. But seeing as meeting anybody is exciting for me, I decided it was worth posting.

Yeah.

Yeah one of my religius classmates kind of hates me right now. I might have called religion a cane for the morally cripled, and she didnt see the funny part.
She wouldnt even listen to my explenation either. And no I didnt say it to her face, I was talking religion with someone else and she walked by at the wrong time.

Well Horses are pack animals, it was 2 groups of horses we caught, the real problem is getting them back in the stable that is the bitch. They just hate going back in through the door, bastards had no problem running out though.
