Re: Mixed emotions
i didn't realise there were two pages of this!! I've just glanced at the last posts you guys made about unicorns and stuff....now i'm totally confused!!!!! I see the Yu+Me dream bit tho! ha ha! I did have a really weird idea for a surprise ending that I think would either havebeen very moving or very stupid. I still am not sure abput it. I'll prob use the idea for a future story instead.

If you pull a Super Mario Bros 2 ending on our collective asses then you will die. Trust me on this one.
If you have no idea of what I am talking about then google it.

I got censored for an angry smiley and the word shit?
Sry I guess.
All I am saying is that the ending of super mario Bros 2 is the worst thing to happen since the dino's got killed by the meteor... I really miss those guys.
Re: Mixed emotions
It's more that the cussing was directed towards someone. It's easy to misconstrue that as being personal. I'm obviously not mad. XD

I am not as much mad as somebody as I am mad at SMB2.ReiDavidson wrote:It's more that the cussing was directed towards someone. It's easy to misconstrue that as being personal. I'm obviously not mad. XD
That game just brings rage to my soul
Re: Mixed emotions
I never knew there were so many Sarah/Gerry shippers out there!
I can see both sides of the argument. Sarah and Gerry are compatible and share a lot of core values and hobbies. However, Janey has the charm and excitement Sarah probably craves in the longrun, even though they might have differences. They can bounce off eachother and learn from those, too. It just needs to happen sometime soon or things will start to crash.
It's hard to say which would work out better - but gosh, it is getting exciting!
This comic has never been predictable (yet somehow always relatable!) so I really don't know what's going to happen.
I really like Gerry, and I feel for her broken heart. I just don't hope she doesn't get hurt in the end.

Re: Mixed emotions
I just youtubed the Super Mario Brother's 2 ending. (I never got past the first level. I'm pretty crap at Mario. Bros.) And I see what you mean! Kinda funny, I think. That they would turn it into a dream like that.

Imagine being 8 years old, actually beating the game (not an easy task) and then being treated to that ending.
I got mad

Same here. Like the ending of Kingdom Hearts. I hate to beat that idiot final boss like, ten times, before the game actually finished.

Re: Mixed emotions
The End Boss for KH was weeeeird!
1) Because it had this nasty mutated phallic symbol going on.
2) Because you had to beat it in pieces. It was too easy. I prefer a stressful ultimate battle that I get way too into.
3) I need to further emphasize: Phallic Symbol

Hahahahha!! That's so true!
It was harder doing other stuff on KH than actually beating the boss :/ The only problem with the boss is that you had to beat him 7 FRIKIN TIMES before he died!
And even then he came back in Number 2 and is possibly going to come back in number 3.

easy end bosses are not exactly something new in gaming.
Take the final form of Ganon in Ocarina of time, if you can circle strafe you can kill him. Or Mithos in Tales of symphonia who you can beat with nothing but raw power if you have done a minimal amount of side questing. What about Halo 3? That shit barely qualifies as a boss.
And talking about easy returning bosses: Bowser, enough said.

I know now, without a doubt... that Kingdom Hearts... IS LIGHT! DDX

Re: Mixed emotions
Oh my God. That line was sooo Cheesy! I loved it so much.
I could never beat Ganon. DX
I tried and tried... I had the beating Ganondorf DOOOOOWN! But I just could not beat Ganon. I was so pissed. I knew he was the last boss and I had made it so far, and... I just couldn't get damage in. I don't understand why he was so hard. I might have even had a glitch in my game because I've heard before that he's easy and I would get a lot of hits on him but it was never enough. And then my 64 died. I still have YET to defeat Ganon. t-t -determined fist!!-

Re: Mixed emotions
This cracked me up! I read Greven's remark about the mario2 ending and was so glad you guys saved me from having to research that!! I love the way this thread has diverted from that one remark and is now a great big discussion about compy games! Unfortunately i don't know ANY of these games apart from Mario, and altho I played mario1 on the nintendo waaaay back I was shit at jumping and could never even get past the first level!!! I had janey playing on a wii at the end of part two which personally has not enticed me enough to buy one of my own. I find the whole idea of exercising to a TV kind of silly. I got Cluedo and Monopoly from the bootfair for the PC last year, and after loading it we thought, what was the point?
I'm not against compy games tho, no, no, no! I can't play them, but I love watching people play the classy arty stuff like Halo and Tombraider . I love the Tombraider type games especially cos I get to look over people's shoulder and say things like, 'try climbing up there' and, go back and pull that lever and then rush back here to see if anything happened!' I'm a real backseat driver when it comes to compy games!!lol

Re: Mixed emotions
Tombraider have been bullshit for about 10 years. If you want a good game in that genre you need a PS2 or 3. Sly Cooper and the thievius raccoonus is one of the best platformers on the PS2.
Uncharted on The PS3 is in the same style as Tombraider only difference is that it is actually good.
One really good game for backseaters is shadow of the collosus, because it is all about thinking outside the box and using your limited means to take down the giant bosses.
Or Metroid prime, a great adventure, or Gears of war, a visual gore fest, or Final fantasy, a series with great storie, or HALO, or infinite undiscovery, or Galaxy, or Ratchet and clank, or God of War, or Sam and Max, or Portal Oh GOD! How could I ever forget Portal!, or Team fortress 2 or Half life or, or, or... I am rambling, my bad.
I just really like to talk about games. And show off my insane knowledge of them

That comment just sent girl gamers back 5 years.
You just had to bring up Sims
I dont really play RTS games though, not really my thing I must admid. But I am getting my dirty little hands on the new Dawn of War because I tried it at a friends place and it is epic!

That may be true but the Sims is the one game the symbol of the streotypical girl gamer.
I never really got into the sims myself, it is just boring as all hell. Go to work, eat, sleep, answer random 50/50 question to get a promotion, get disapointed in the lack of visuali apealing "Yahoo", repeat the process.

If you didn't like it, you didn't get it Lol jk.
Loads of boys play Sims, too. There's just stigma around it so they feel more guilty to admit it :p

Re: Mixed emotions
I didn't know they were making a Sims 3!!
Sims 2 was needed, there was already so much that could have obviously been expanded upon in Sims 1... like aging... :/ But Sims 2 was actually good enough! What more could they do??
